Good gun in Island mission

On the second mission, "The Island", there will be a man under the second bridge with a FG42 scoped. That gun will get more ammunition every time you kill someone. The gun starts with 96 ammo remaining and you can kill about 150 people with it (not including melee). After completing that mission you will have that gun on the third mission, but you must save the gun through the third mission to get it in the fourth mission and so on.

Easy finish: Night Drop mission

When you meet up with the French rebels you will have a choice to go left to the Flak 88s or go through the house to the right. Go left to the guns. Kill all the Nazis around the gun and in the ditch leading to the next gun. Then, blow up the 88 and move on to the rest of the guns. After you blow up all the guns you will reach the house that you would have had to take if you went right. When you go in the house you must defeat a Nazi that is standing there waiting for you. Kill all the enemies in the house and fall through the burning floor. You will see you allies there waiting for you.

Hold an extra grenade

All Missions

At the Chapter Select screen, press and hold + and then press >, >, <, <, 2, 2 to unlock all of the missions in the game. If you entered the code correctly, the cheat will take effect immediately.

General Guidance

Compass

Always keep an eye on your compass in the lower left of the screen. It provides waypoints which you have to trigger in order for the next series of events to occur. Since Call of Duty 3 is very linear, it's imperative for you to keep an eye on the waypoints that appear on your compass to achieve success.

Squad A.I.

Frequently, you can allow your squad to run through the level to care of the German resistance. Use this to your advantage, especially in the Forest chapter. Whenever you can, let them take the gunfire for you. Maj or character won't die unless you kill them, and all other soldiers on your team are spawned canon fodder. Use them to find out where the strongest point of fire is coming from and eliminate it.

Grenades and You

Don't ever, for whatever reason, throw a grenade at a Nazi. They'll simply pick it up, and throw it back at you. If you really want to throw a grenade at one of Hitler's troops, hold down the throw button for at least a half of charge, and then toss it. It will blow up in their hand when they try and pick it up. Success!

Also, become accustomed to picking up German grenades and throwing them back at their face. Quickly press the combination of the X button and the RS button for maximum success.

Shooting

When you have an automatic weapon, don't feel like you're Rambo or the Terminator. The longer you hold down that fire button with an automatic weapon, the better likelihood you are going to miss everything you're hoping to hit. The automatic guns work best in short one or two shot bursts.

Also, get used to pulling down the Left Trigger a lot, allowing you to look down the scope of the gun. This will provide for you the most accurate shot, period.
